Are your services covered by OHIP or insurance?Some extended medical health care plans cover consultations by a Medical Herbalist and Yoga Therapy under Physical Rehabilitation. Please check with your provider to see the extent of your coverage.

Do you work with my physician?Yes, I believe in open communication with your primary health care provider so we may provide the most optimal, holistic care.

Do I need to make a reservation?All private lessons and treatments require you to book in advance.

How do I make or cancel a reservation?You are able to make or cancel reservations through the Baeha Booking website by clicking here.

What do I wear?It is very important to be comfortable, wear clothes that provide you with freedom to move and will not distract you during treatments. Please refrain from wearing any perfumes or other scents as some community members have allergies.

Are your Therapeutic Treatments covered by Medical?Some extended medical plans cover Yoga Therapy under Physical Rehabilitation. Please contact your plan administrator for details. Feel free to contact us for clarification.

I have allergies. Is your facility safe for me?If you have any allergies please contact us before booking a class or appointment to be sure we can accommodate your needs.

Should I have an empty stomach?It is not recommended to eat large meals a few hours before your treatment. Small snacks like fruit and nuts are good choices. Allow your body to be your guide.

What should I expect in my first Ayurvedic Treatment?There is an intake process where you will fill out forms outlining your medical health history, overall sense of well-being and personal goals. Ayurvedic tongue analysis and pulse diagnosis will be used to create the most potent form of treatment by your practitioner. Clothing may need to be removed if oils are being used. You will be made comfortable with blankets, towels, heated pads and hot water bottles. Treatments are performed on an Ayurvedic massage table unless it is contraindicated for health reasons, in which case a massage chair is used.

Can I have an Ayurvedic or Thai Treatment while I am pregnant?Yes you can! There are some treatments that are not appropriate for pregnant woman and your practitioner will discuss available options with you.

What is herbal medicine?Herbal Medicine utilizes the seed, root, leaf, bark or flower of a plant in tincture, tea, powder, capsule, infused oil, cream or salve form to support individuals on their healing journey. As a Medical Herbalist, I use the whole plant, which is comprised of complex phytochemicals that interact in synergy with the human body, producing a therapeutic effect. Herbal medicine addresses the root of an imbalance, provides symptom relief, tones and strengthens organs and systems, provides stress relief, adaptation for the body to various environmental situations, as well as increasing the body’s immune system.

Are herbs safe?Yes, herbs are safe, when used appropriately and with consideration to current medications.

What does Herbal medicine treat?Herbal Medicine is used for treatment and prevention of a disease as well as maintenance of health. Creating an opportunity to stimulate the individual’s innate healing power by teaching the body how to heal and defend itself.

Are my herbal formulas provided on site?Yes, Baeha formulates herbal preparations on site.

Are herbs safe for babies, children, pregnant or nursing mothers?Yes, most herbs are safe for all individuals of any age or stage of life, as a Medical Herbalist I am trained to know which herbs are appropriate for you.

What should I expect in my first Traditional Thai Massage?There is an intake process where you will fill out forms outlining your medical health history, overall sense of well-being and personal goals. All treatments are individually tailored and may include breath-work, visualization and meditation. This practice is performed comfortably clothed on a padded mat on the floor.
